In a article released Saturday by the Washington Post (WaPo) Obama announced that he is going to raise taxes “in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression” as he would say on folks making over $250,000.00 year. Now you might think $250K is a lot of money, but it’s not for small business and many small businesses file as a soul proprietorship, this is on a 1040 just like everyone files on … so while $250K might be lot if you are working for a company, it’s not that much when you own the company. Many small businesses easily make over $250K, but that’s not rich … often that’s barely keeping the doors open. So the rate those small businesses and the folks making over $250K pay will go from 35% to 39%, anybody with any sense would know you do not raise taxes in a recession especially on business, what a genius. How many jobs will this cost America as small business is the single largest employer in the US. Numbnuts also announced deep cuts in military spending while in the middle of two wars, again pure genius (rolls eyes). Wasn’t it the Democrats that complained about underfunding of the military at the start of the Iraq War? Something about body armor and equipment? I believe so.

Let me get this right when the money is tight and the economy is in the tank, you raise taxes and in the middle of two wars you cut military spending … you know I just don’t know what to say to that. It truly goes beyond stupid and straight into insane.

Additionally Dopey said he was going to instate “a fairly aggressive effort on tax enforcement” … oh really and this from a man who nominated more tax cheats than any other president! Who is going to enforce this fairly aggressive effort? Turbo Tax Tim Geithner?? I swear you can’t make this stuff up, Geithner the tax cheat and in charge of the IRS may be in charge of tax enforcement? Please! I guess Obama forgot that Dingy Harry Reid said paying taxes is voluntary according to his “phraseology”. (Really you need to see that video if you haven’t.) In reality this would likely fall under the Department of Justice and AG Eric “Nation of cowards” Holder.

But the stupid doesn’t stop, David Axelrod who if you don’t know now is a complete and fully qualified idiot said …

“This is consistent with what the president talked about throughout the campaign,” and “restores some balance to the tax code in a way that protects the middle class,” Axelrod said. “Most Americans will come out very well here.”

Ok, let’s get our brain around this for a minute, “restore balance to the tax code” … ok I’m game as the top 50% pay 97.1% of the taxes while the bottom 50% pays only 2.9% of the taxes … I’d say that’s not very balanced. Let’s have a look at 2006 the most recent data I could find a graph for …

Does that look balanced to you? It doesn’t to me either, so are they going to balance this out by shifting more of the tax burden to the bottom 50% ? Nope, it’s the typical liberal mantra… tax the rich and give more to those that pay little of no tax at all, a increase of the welfare state. It’s not fair that the rich are rich and they must be punished for their success. The WSJ said “Obama says he’s going to cut for those at the bottom, but that’s also going to be a challenge because Americans with an income below the median paid a record low 2.9% of all income taxes, while the top 50% paid 97.1%. Perhaps he thinks half the country should pay all the taxes to support the other half.” That’s how it sounds to me and I for one am sick of it, if you want a government check then you should work for it and you can start by mowing my lawn.

As for cutting the military, this is very Clintonian as this was exactly how Clinton cut the budget, gutted the military (Where did you think that surplus came from?). By doing this Clinton let our guard down directly resulting in 9/11 due to decreased vigilance … some would disagree and I say to you then prove me wrong. This is all part of Obama’s budget plan and it’s projected to be over a TRILLION dollars for the next two years running, now if you’re going to cut the military budget and nearly double the federal budget, where is it going? I’ve got a few ideas, more handouts for the slackers. I’d encourage you to contact you congressman to stop this share the wealth joy ride Obama is on, America can not continue to help those that will not help themselves.

As a closing thought the pressure needs to be kept on Roland Burris (D-IL) to resign as we do not need him being the 60th vote for the handout budget of Obamas’ and I can’t but wonder if this bill will be put online for the country to see? Hell will congress even get to see it before voting? We’ll have to wait and see, just more sugar for the tea party.
