Arlen “Sphincter” Specter decries “I’m a democrat” as if there was ever any doubt, oh sure the left is running around acting as if this was a big victory for them, this is akin to Benedict Arnold (i.e. Benedict Arlen) declaring he is loyal to the King is anyone really surprised? … Please we on the right are happy he’s gone, no we’re ecstatic he’s gone. It’s about time Sphincter comes out of the Democrat’s closet and stop being their political whore.
Specter said he’d never ever in a million years leave the republican party which he joined after being a democrat and that is until he was about as popular as a turd in the punch bowl with the conservatives in Pennsylvania GOP. Bye bye Sphincter don’t let the door hit you were the good Lord split you.
I’m not going to waste a lot of time on this others have said all I can or could here.
Oh by the way Sphincter give back all the GOP campaign money and do it now!

Obviously, he looked at his options and realized the writing on the wall. And lets face it. The party that he was in didn't like him much anyway.. He did what was necessary to survive politically. He knew he was going to lose the primary. The Republicans were going to standby and let him get slaughtered. What was he supposed to do? Wait for his funeral? I don't think so
