Obama Power Grabs

As the Obama led government grabs as much power as they can as quick as they can by rushing legislation through congress unread and as Harry Reid tries to exclude the republicans from any involvement in the Senate we the people are being politically bulldozed right out of our freedom and our country as Obama tries to make the most of his first 100 days pushing his seemingly socialistic like agenda. This is not a fact missed by some senior democrats in congress that Obama is engaged in nothing more than a power grab.

As a side note, yesterday at Obamas’ online town hall he spoke of electrical “smart meters” that would tell you when to turn off your lights, excuse me I’m grown and I’ll decide when I turn my lights on and off, so screw you and screw your “Earth Hour” too, but that is minor compared to many of the other efforts put forth by Obama and his minions to control your life.

Turbo Tax Tim Geithner is wanting to violate the constitution by seizing control of companies they THINK are in trouble, this violates the constitution again, but that is a recurring theme in the Obama administration as they seem to think the US constitution is nothing more than a annoyance to their agenda. Additionally, Geithner mentioned that he is open to talks of a world currency sending the dollar into a nose dive and frankly I do not believe it’s up to Geithner if we go to a world currency, but the American people and there is a ever growing distaste of the Obama administration and the treasury (mis)leadership of Geithner.

It gets better Obama as initiated yet another mis-named program called the GIVE Act, more about that at Michelle Malkins’ site. Tucked away in this bill is the wording “a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” If the ‘V’ in GIVE is “volunteer” then where the hell does “mandatory” come from?

What the hell is this country coming to? Are we losing our why of life? Are we losing our freedom? I already know we are spending more money than we can ever repay and if we can not get a conservative majority in congress in 2010 to overturn and repeal this power grabbing wasteful spending actions of the Obama administration we may very well see the end of America as we know it, if not all together. In my four and half decades of life I have not seen the country as divided as it is now, and to those much older than I state the same.

The conservative and moderate s need to strongly speak out against the direction this country is headed, I’m sick of this passive spineless mentality of those in opposition they really need to take a lesson from Daniel Hannan of the UK who slammed on Gordon Brown, if on the off chance you haven’t seen it here it is…

Maybe, just maybe if our leadership (or the lack thereof) start standing up with this amount of conviction and passion those in the “American Idol/Dancing with the Stars” crowd will start taking a interest in what is happening in our country. I’m sick of this apathy, this complacency, this feeling of helplessness to do anything that so many Americans seem to have, this country was founded by people that refused to hold those views, by people hell bent on changing the status quo, by people that knew that their actions could very well have them hung, but it didn’t stop them it didn’t deter them and they in spite of the risk… forged ahead to found the great American experiment that became the United States.

What happen to those types of people? Where did they go? Has America lost its passion of independence; are those that are self-reliant a dying breed? Have we become a country of dependence? I for one refuse to go quietly into the night and lay down my beliefs! I will not give up my country to those that want to destroy it and it seems to me that those currently in leadership in Washington are only interested in their own power and you are nothing more than a cash cow that is being led to slaughter. You have a choice, you can go peacefully and willing to the butcher or you can fight until the butcher gives way. I choose to fight, do you?
