UPDATE:
5 house.gov on Mar 16th
2 dhs.gov
1 ssa.gov
All on the day this was posted.
I starting writing this blog about a week ago, I’ve had to change the number as I’ve had more dot gov hits, but I saw this story…
Web founder warns against website snooping
So Mr or Ms Government dude or dudette, I see you seeing me. Yes dot gov snoopers you are either wasting my tax dollars surfing the internet at work or checking out the site for my opinion of your “Dear Leader” I thought I’d be nice enough to let you know that I know. So enjoy the site, just don’t enjoy it on my tax dollars, ok? Make sure you’re at home or on break, after all I am the employer and that is company policy.
See just as you can look around the web for information that might be critical of your “Dear Leader.” I can look at my server traffic and see ‘whois’ and where from and how long and in the last month I’ve had 53 unique dot gov visitor, now 53 unique visitors is really a pretty small number compared to the total number of uniques views, but nonetheless a little interesting. It’s less than one half of one present, I don’t have tons of traffic, but hey the blog is still rather new. What is interesting it the total amount of time spent in this site alone, about 30 hours total … 30 hours that’s nearly a work week (a full month for members of congress) you and I pay someone to surf the net, I’d like that gig wouldn’t you?
So dot gov kids not only do I know you’ve been here, I know what you looked at, how long you looked at it, so while you might be looking at me, I’m looking at you too. Spooky huh?
The following people need to get back to work or get to the point. In the last month I have hits from the following…
dhs.gov (Department of Homeland Security) — 12 14 Visits
WOW! 12 visits from the DHS, let me tell you I’ve defended the homeland and I still am, if you want to find a REAL treat to the homeland then let me direct you to this website or this one or this one.
ucia.com (Central Intelligence Agency) — 2 Visits
The CIA, shouldn’t you be looking for Osama Bin Laden? Didn’t Obama say in the campaign he’d find him? Yes I believe he did, so let’s get cracking and find him and quit wasting your time reading blogs … well wait a minute, go ahead and read it, you might learn something about intelligence.
doj.gov (Department of Justice) — 14 Visits
Whoa! 14 visits and some as long as 2 hours, really are you building a case file? So let me ask Attorney General Holder, do you really think I’m a coward? So just in case you think the Fairness Doctrine should extend to the web, let me ask you to read this little tidbit of information.
nasa.gov (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) — 1 Visit
Ok NASA, I’m chalking this one up to some government lackey is surfing on taxpayers time, or maybe they’re taking pictures of my secret command bunker from space. You know you could save money and use Google Earth.
irs.gov (Internal Revenue Service) — 4 Visits
Hey, I pay my taxes all of them, but you might want to look into Charlie Rangle, Ron Kirk, Nancy Killefer, Tom Daschle, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama and you own boss Timothy Geithner, then worry about me after you clean up your own house.
aoc.gov (Architect of the Capitol) — 1 Visit
You know until I looked it up I have never even heard of this place. From their about page “The Architect of the Capitol is responsible to the United States Congress for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of the United States Capitol Complex …” blah, blah, blah and reading blogs at work on my tax dollars does any of this exactly how? Do tell, I am curious.
ornl.gov (Oak Ridge National Laboratory) — 2 Visits
You know this is where they did the Manhattan Project, maybe they’re now working on the AWG Project or the Right-wing Blogger Project?? Should I be worried? Nah, it’s the government it’ll take them to long to do anything.
census.gov (The Census) — 2 Visits
In the year 2000 I worked for the census, I was one of the areas so called “higher ups” and I can tell you the census count is about as reliable and accurate as a blind man shooting skeet. It was quite eye opening, and it’s not flawed because of the reason put forth by Obama it’s flawed because people refuse to cooperate.
ssa.gov (Social Security Administration) — 6 7 Visits
6 visits? Shouldn’t you be authorizing falsified claims or surfing the web? Tell you what before you go wasting time surfing my site clean up all slackers getting benefits that don’t deserve them.
house.gov – (U.S. Congress) — 3 8 Visits
WOW! This one had 30 network hops, must be a Congressman to hop a connection around that much. Perhaps my congressman Ed “RINO” Whitfield is reading about himself. Well Ed, I’m watching you too, and it doesn’t look good.
I guess Ed knows I’m which him vote, which interestingly enough has been over 100 times with Nancy Pelosi in the late 2 years. Not smart Congressman, not smart at all.
Hey go to the top of the page and get the toolbar, you’ll save yourself time as you’ll know exactly when I post something new … just a tip from your friendly law abiding, tax paying citizen … tax paying?? Hmmm guess that rules out any chance of a cabinet appointment huh?
Now lets see if the dot gov traffic increases, decreases or remains the same.
I’ll be watching you dot gov people so in the meantime while you’re wasting time and out tax dollars, waste it on this little video here ….
Moral of the story
Know what something is before you protect it, the monster might be under your nose.

Is it okay if I come in from a .mil address on my lunch break? Thanks, and sorry to bother you…
Absolutely … I didn’t say a word about dot mil addresses, I’m a USMC veteran and a strong supporter of the military. See the military is about the only part of government that works.
